It’s Fat-Quarter Friendly and Simple to Construct!

Star blocks in a limited color palette make a stunning quilt. Autumn colors are cozy and inviting, although the quilt is just as beautiful in other color choices.

Choose a combination of coordinating fat quarters and an accent for the border. Or make the quilt without borders. The choice is yours.

Both prints and solids work nicely in this quilt. Go with a limited palette, like shown in the examples, or mix things up. We’d love to see a multi-colored scrappy-look version.

There are no Half-Square Triangles or Flying Geese units, so block assembly is quick with no trimming required. That makes it doable by quilters of most skill levels, although it’s not recommended as a first quilt.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
