This Retro-Look Quilt is Simply Delightful

Give it a Scrappy Look or Coordinate the Colors!
So many of our favorite elements combine in this sensational quilt. We love the retro style fabrics, the lovely colors and the beautiful design. Hexie flowers, sawtooth sashing and a piano key border add to its abundant charm.
Piecing is simple for this quilt, as is the applique. Finish it with beautiful longarm or free motion quilting, or design a complementary straight line quilting pattern.
This isn’t the quickest quilt to make but it’s well worth the loving effort. You’re sure to cherish this quilt for many years to come.
The “Grandmother’s Flowerpots” quilt shown here was created by JoAnn Gemmill from a Marianne Fons design. It was quilted by Kim Norton from A Busy Bobbin.
The pattern is included in the March/April 2006 issue of Love of Quilting.
