This Sweet Heart Potholder is so Charming
January 13, 2017 | Kitchen Quilts
| A Crazy Quilt Version is Included with the Pattern!
This pretty potholder is made from a Log Cabin block. It’s a quick and easy project you can have done in next to no time. Make a set for yourself and another to give.
We love the polka dot and cherry fabrics used by the designer, Build-a-Quilt Designs. It will be fun choosing various fabric styles and colors for your potholders.
A second potholder pattern is available from the designer. It’s a Crazy Quilt design and can be embellished with buttons, lace, machine or hand embroidery, and more.
Either of these potholders will be charming hanging on the wall as sweet mini quilts.
Include a layer or two of Insul-Bright batting (find it here) to heat-proof your potholders.
The sizes of the finished potholders are:
- Log Cabin Heart: 8-1/4″ x 8-1/4″
- Crazy Quilt Heart: 7-1/2″ x 8-3/4″
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
