Try Something Different with This Beautiful Quilt
It’s a Great Project for Advancing Your Skills!
The round design and vivid colors of this quilt make it a beautiful eye-catcher. It’s sized to drape over the back of the sofa (lap sized) or use it on a table. A smaller version will make a wonderful round pillow.
Scraps were used to create the version shown here but you can also use a coordinated color combination. Adjust the size by adding or deleting rings.
While this may not be a project for beginners, it is simpler than it may seem at first glance. The rings are created with paper piecing, although standard piecing will work, too. This is a great project for getting started with paper piecing as the sections are very easy to do.
Don’t be scared off by the curves. They’re very gentle, which makes them fairly easy to piece. Plus, there are no seams that need to match up so you don’t need to worry about matching points.
The finished quilt, designed by Beth Studley from Love from Beth, is 46″.
