Two Wine Totes and a Koozie for Home and Gift Giving
Protect and Dress Up Bottles of Wine with These Easy Projects!
How often do you grab a bottle of wine to take with you for a hostess gift, dinner party, or night in with the girls? Wine is welcome just about anywhere, and we often find ourselves grabbing a bottle on the way out the door.
But toting a bottle of wine can be awkward. That’s why we’re certain you’ll love having these quilted totes on hand. They, and the wine bottle koozy, are also great for dressing up gifts of wine.
Fortunately, these patchwork projects are all easy to make, can be sewn up with scraps and fabrics from your stash, and will be delightful regardless of the fabrics you choose.
Better yet, the patterns are all free.
Craft and Carry Wine Carrier
Designer Joyce Decunzo used Christmas fabrics for her carriers, but any fabric suitable for the occasion will work and look wonderful.
This is a simple project to sew together. You can make several wine totes in no time at all.
Cozy Wine Koozie
This charming wine bottle wrap is another quick and easy project. The koozie wraps around the bottom of the bottle, also, helping to keep the wine the right temperature and keeping it from sweating onto the table.
Have fun choosing fabrics and buttons to make each one unique. Better yet, choose fabrics that the recipient will love, or that match their decor.
Quilted Wine Tote
This tote has two layers of batting to protect the bottle of wine and help keep it cool.
We love the handle on this tote by Kate from Spatula and Needle. Plus, a couple of great fabrics are all that’s needed to give each wine tote its own personality.
Just for Fun – Quilt Happy Wine Glass
Your quilting friends will love this wine glass! Include it with your gift of a bottle of wine.
This is also a great favor for your next quilt guild luncheon.
