Choose Between Several Sizes!

Pull out those precious scraps of your favorite fabrics for a set of patchwork coasters. This is a great opportunity to practice mixing fabrics for pleasing results while creating something useful.

Vary the sizes to create drink coasters, mats to place under house plants, mats for under pet dishes to make it harder to knock them over, and so on.

Plus, the coasters can be machine washed and dried as needed. Throw them in with the towels and hand-press them flat when they come out of the drier.

The coasters are a bit free-form, made from hand-cut strips of varying width. That just adds to their charm. Plus, there’s no binding so they finish quickly.

Templates for 8 sizes of circles are included so you can make a variety of coasters for different uses. Circles start at 4″ and go up to 7 1/4″ in diameter. You can go even bigger by using plates or other items for larger circles.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
