Choose a Color for the Center and Binding to Pull it All Together!

Give beautiful scraps a fun and pretty home in this charming hot pad. It will be a lovely accent for any kitchen, and will be wonderful in many color combinations.

All it takes are 11 different fabrics of 2″ x 3″ to make the Flying Geese that are spinning around the center circle. Machine applique the circle and the piecing is complete.

Spinning Geese Hot Pad Pattern

The hot pad is paper pieced for ease of construction and accuracy. You’ll enjoy how quick it is to complete. Once you get going you can have several done in a day or two.

Add a layer or two of Insul-Bright batting for heat proofing and use this charmer as a pot holder or hot pad for the table.

The finished hot pad, designed by Connie Kauffman, is 7 1/2″ in diameter.

You’ll find the “Spinning Geese Hot Pad” pattern in Quilts You Can Make in a Day.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
