Your Favorite Batiks Will be Great in This Runner

Other Fabric Styles Will Be Too!
This beautiful runner is an easy one to make using string-pieced blocks. Batiks provide texture and movement although other print styles will be nice too.
The designer, Connie Kresin Campbell pieced her blocks on paper foundations. Fabric foundations will also work.
Fabrics leftover from other projects are great for this project or start with a layer cake of 10″ squares. We love how Connie used a narrow color palette for her version.
This runner is highly adaptable, as the size and even the layout are easily adjusted.
The large runner finishes at about 23″ x 37″, while the smaller runners shown above are about 12″ x 27″ with smaller 4″ blocks.
