A Charming Quilt to Give or Display |
Three Simple Blocks Make Up This Easy Sampler Quilt!
Hone your eye for color, value and fabric placement with this charming quilt pattern. Three classic star blocks turn into 10 different stars simply by changing the placement of colors and values within each block. Once you’re done you’ll have a beautiful sampler quilt to enjoy for years to come.
You’ll have fun selecting fabrics for this quilt. The pieces for the star blocks can be cut from scraps, pre-cuts or yardage. Only eight different fabrics give the piano key border a scrappy look.
Soft pastels and 1930s reproduction prints are perfect for a baby quilt. Bolder colors or those that match your decor will make a lovely table topper. Add more star blocks for a lap or bed quilt.
The pattern, by Barbara Weiland of Jo-Lydia’s Attic, is for a 45 1/2″ x 45 1/2″ quilt.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
