A Pretty Little Table Mat for the Holidays

It’s Lovely in Other Colors, as Well!

Simple piecing in beautiful colors becomes a sweet little table mat in hardly any time at all. Use pre-cut 2 1/2″ charms or cut your own from a 5″ charm pack.

The hand embroidery is so pretty and adds a lovely nostalgic touch. However, machine embroidery will give you a quicker finish. Or, look for a thin strip from a border print or even use a subtle print in that section if you prefer.

Christmas Candy Mini Quilt

This little quilt can be enlarged by using 5″ charm squares instead of the specified 2 1/2″ mini charms. Adjust the white sashing pieces (and embroidery) to fit.

The finished size, as designed by Jen Daly, its 14″ x 14″. It will make a lovely pillow top, too.

The fabric she used, Petites Maisons de Noël by French General for Moda, is available as mini charm packs here, or in other pre-cuts and yardage here (while supplies last).

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
