It’s a Fun Project with Easy Hardware Details!
Colorful scraps create a beautiful accent strip for this charming draw-string bag. It’s nicely sized to haul a lot and its slouchy personality is perfect for everyday use. A draw-string through grommets secures the contents.
If you’ve not done grommets before, you’ll love how easy they are to do. Excellent instructions are provided to ease you through the process (these grommets and this grommet tool were used).
Instructions are also provided for an optional swivel hook that will make keys easy to find (also easy to do).
Select a variety of leftover 2 1/2″ mini charms or cut charm squares and jelly roll strips to size. Then choose a sturdy fabric for the body of the bag.
An excellent tutorial is provided by the designer, Amy Smart from Diary of a Quilter.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you! PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
