It’s a Great Project for Scraps!

Get ready for Easter with this festive table runner. Dig into your scraps for the patchwork eggs and use fusible applique to apply them to the background.

Big-stitch hand-quilted accents are a nice way to finish off the quilt. Other quilting designs will work nicely too, whether done by hand or by machine.

Shown in the photo are two quilts that can be made from the pattern. The instructions are for the runner on the right, which is 15″ x 42″.

However, the pattern is very versatile as the patchwork eggs can be applied to a background of any shape and in whatever configuration appeals to you. For example, make a skinny quilt, such as the one on the left in the photo, for a narrow table runner or to hang on a thin strip of wall. Eggs arranged on a square or round background would make a lovely table topper.

Stephanie from Sunny Quilt Creative is the designer of this fun runner.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
