Make One or Several to Dress Up a Table!
Try something different with these beautiful table mats. One will make a lovely centerpiece or make several for place mats.
They’re also a good use of scraps and will be lovely in any color theme. Notice how the binding pulls all the colors together. The circular walking foot quilting is a wonderful finishing touch.
While there’s a curve to piece, it’s gentle enough to go smoothly even for those with no experience with curved piecing. The triangles are paper pieced for accuracy.
While either of these techniques may be new to you, they’re both easy to do. And, the beautiful results are well worth trying something different.
We played in Photoshop a bit to see what the mats would look like in another color.
The finished table mat, from Daniela Patchwork, is 13.4″ x 13.4″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you! PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
