They’ll be Lovely Fall Accents on a Side Table!

Pretty maple leaf mug rugs are perfect for autumn, or make them up in colors to use all year long. The designer chose intricately patterned prints in fall colors that won’t show stains easily. You may already have something in your stash that will work just as well.

These are small enough to serve as coasters and will be lovely scattered on a side table. You can increase or decrease the size, if you want, while printing the pattern. Make them a bit larger and add Insul-Bright batting for hot pads.

The leaves are simple to make and will go together quickly. Plus, there’s no binding to deal with. The biggest challenge, after deciding on fabrics, may be turning them and poking out the points. It’s not hard but take your time for a nice finish.

The finished leaves, designed by BuzzinBumble, are about 5 1/2″ across. The pattern originally appeared on Quilting Board. You can read the thread here.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
