Instructions Are Included for Place Mats, Coasters and Napkins!

Dig into your stash and pull out polka dots and other happy fabrics for this fun table set. Simple triangles stitch up quickly into place mats, matching napkins and coasters for drinks.

Bright, fun fabrics are charming in the set. However, it will be wonderful given other moods as well. We can easily imagine the set made up in Christmas fabrics and just about any other pleasing combination.

Happy-Go-Lucky Table Setting

You can make a triangle template for cutting, however a Hex N More Ruler will speed construction. Once the triangles are cut be careful not to stretch the bias edges (a spray of starch will help) and you’ll have these done before you know it.

The pattern, by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts, produces the following finished sizes:

  • Place mat: 17-1⁄4×12″
  • Coaster: 7″ diameter (point to point)
  • Napkin: 17″ square

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
