Lovely for Your Wall, Table or a Throw Pillow!

Sometimes the simple quilts are the most striking, as you can focus on enjoying the design and fabrics without being distracted by other things going one.

This charming mini quilt is a great example. It’s simple in design but makes a big impact.

Poinsettia Mini Quilt Pattern

Choose cheerful fabrics you love, those that match your decor, or make it up in Christmas fabrics for your holiday decor. Another option is to dig into your scraps and have fun making a scrappy quilt.

The pattern is constructed with simple piecing except for one part – the star points square. A crafty quilter could easily see how to adapt that section into straight piecing by cutting the pieces a bit differently. Or, use this opportunity to brush up on your paper piecing skills. This quilt is a quick and easy way to practice.

The finished quilt by designer Fresh Lemons Quilts is 18″ x 18″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
