Leftover Charm Squares Make a Lovely Pillow |
It Will be Great in Fabrics for Any Season!
Flying Geese units come together beautifully in a charming pillow. Ric rac around the outside edges is a lovely finishing touch. This is a quick project that you’ll have finished before you know it.
Start with eight leftover 5″ charm squares and a background fabric for the Flying Geese units. Make four 1″ x 3″ units at a time using a streamlined construction technique and the Quilt in a Day Small Flying Geese Ruler.
Any color combination will be wonderful in this pillow. Go with colors you love or those for any season. Or use the same fabric Kimberly did, which is available here while supplies last.
Watch how the pillow is made in this livestream video.
Finished dimensions are not provided by Kimberly (from The Fat Quarter Shop) but it appears to be about 12″ square.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
