This charming block will be lovely in any color theme and fabric combo. Play with colors, values and placement to create your own pretty rendition.
The blocks can be used in many types of projects. They’re a bit on the small side so incorporate them into totes, table toppers and other small items as well as larger quilts.
It’s a simple block to make, although you’ll want to be careful to cut and sew accurately for best results. Set the blocks side by side with or without sashing in between. Or alternate them with other blocks for more design options.
In the quilt above, the block is used without sashing between sampler blocks. Notice the charming lattice effect.
The finished block, designed by Diane Knott, is 8″ square.
