Simple Fabric Ornaments Are Quick to Make
December 13, 2017 |
Easy, Pretty and Shatterproof for Families with Small Kids!
Choose pretty fabric in your favorite colors for these quick and easy ball ornaments. They’ll be lovely in whatever color combinations will look best on your tree.
They also make lovely last minute gifts. The stitching is simple, stuffing gives them shape and pretty bows are the perfect finish. You can have several completed in an afternoon.
We can imagine these used as decor for other seasons and special events, too. Wouldn’t they be lovely hanging from long ribbons above the buffet for a bridal or baby shower?
Bows on the above ornaments were made using the Easy Peasy Bow pattern.
The pattern, from Pattern Play, includes instructions for making fabric balls in four sizes.
Larger balls will be lovely baby and toddler gifts, while the shatterproof ornaments are perfect for families with small children (and tree-climbing cats!).
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
