Start with Jelly Roll Strips for a Quick and Easy Finish!

This beautiful bag is generously sized for use as a purse, for sewing supplies, shopping trips, and much more. Plus, it’s primarily made with 2 1/2″ jelly roll strips for quick construction.

Choose a combination of prints you love and add a coordinating band and an accent strip across the top. The bag is beautiful in any color combination and can be made fromĀ a new jelly roll or leftovers from your stash.

Besides its charm, the bag is special because it’s practically foolproof. The body is constructed with Quilt-As-You-Go so it’s already quilted once the piecing is done.

The pattern comes with pre-printed batting along with webbing for the straps. Add fabric strips for the outside and a coordinating fabric for the lining, then follow the sew-by-numbers instructions. You’ll have a completed bag before you know it.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
