This Beginner-Friendly Basket Has Many Options
It’s Great for Using Up Scraps and Fabric You Have on Hand!
Choose between six designs for these handy baskets made from old jeans or fabric scraps. They are nicely sized for keeping things organized in the sewing room and elsewhere around the home. They also make thoughtful gifts for new parents and many other occasions.
This is a great pattern for upcycling and using up fabric you have on hand. You can use quilt fabric from your stash, old clothes, bed linens (like sheets), or other remnants. For a denim basket, if you plan to use a pocket from old jeans, it’s recommended that you use children’s jeans as that will work best with this size basket.
Two lining options, sewn in or sewn separately, and three handle options allow you to customize every basket. According to the description, basket styles include (not all shown here):
- Chevron
- Quadrant
- Pocket Front
- Stripes
- Wide Stripe
- Scrappy
You can also make a basket from a print you love and create other variations.
Once completed, the baskets designed by Yarn Twins from Yarnovations Shop are 10″ wide x 6″ long x 6 1/2″ tall.
