Turn a Quilt Block Into an Autumn Pot Holder |
You Can Also Use the Block in Other Projects!
One pumpkin quilt block makes a charming pot holder to use in your kitchen all autumn long. It’s a wonderful addition to your pot holder collection, and will be fun as a set of two.
Make the pot holder up in your favorite fall colors. Go modern, vintage or primitive in the fabrics and colors you choose.
The version shown here, by Carla of Creatin’ In The Sticks, uses a lovely combination of bright prints.
Layer, quilt and bind the block, adding a fabric or ribbon hanger. Be sure to add a layer of Insul-Bright batting for heat proofing.
The finished pot holder is about 8″ square.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
