There’s a Cute Cross Stitch Pin Cushion Too!

Choose between this beautiful table topper and the cushy throw pillows, or make some of both for your fall decor. They’re quick projects that will instantly update your home for autumn.

The pattern provides four options: a simple table topper, a topper with prairie points, simple pillows, or pillows with prairie points. We love the touch of whimsy that the prairie points provide but go ahead and make whatever version you prefer.

We also love the lighthearted colors chosen by the designer. However, all of the projects will be charming in your favorite fall hues. Or make them up in Christmas prints, Fourth of July colors, or any combination of fabrics you love.

Photoshop helps us see how the projects might look in deeper autumn colors.

Start with a pack of 5″ charm squares (or scraps) for each project and add a background color, in this case, cream. Another print for the border and a second for the binding are all you need. You’ll find the fabrics used by the designer here while supplies last.

Once completed, the table topper and pillows designed by Joanna Figueroa from Fig Tree Quilts are about 20.5″ x 20.5″ (without prairie points).

Susan of @thefeltedpear created a darling cross stitch pincushion to match the pillows, including the cute prairie point edgings.

The stitched design measures roughly 3” square when completed. Once turned into a tiny cushion it’s about 5” square.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
