A Quick and Easy Project That Makes a Great Gift, Too!
This patchwork pouch is not only charming but it’s wonderful for organizing, storing and quickly grabbing items to take with you. Use it for sewing supplies and just about anything else.
Its generous size means you can fit a lot of smaller items into it. It’s fully lined and zips closed to secure the contents. It’s great for sliding into a larger project bag, suitcase or overnight bag.
The pouch is easy to make, too, and goes together quickly. Excellent illustrated instructions make even the zipper an easy project.
You may want to make several while you’re at it. This is a wonderful gift for just about anyone and you’ll be glad to have one or more on hand ready for wrapping.
For each pouch, choose mini charm squares (2 1/2″) and a fat quarter in your favorite color combination. Five inch charm squares from your stash will work too.
The finished bag, from designer Sweet Jane, is 10” wide x 6” tall x 3” deep.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
