This Pretty Table Topper is Simply Charming
There’s Plenty of Room to Get Creative with This Easy Pattern!
This pretty table topper caught our eye because it’s not only lovely but also easy to make. Fabric squares and a few triangles are all it takes for the body of the quilt.
Add a border, layer and quilt. Don’t you love the striped binding? Simple, yet utterly charming.
The quilt, by Amy of eamylove, is a variation of a pattern by Sherri from A Quilting Life Patterns. Here’s the original version by the pattern’s designer.
Both little quilts are made from 2 1/2″ fabric squares. Choose a mini charm pack or cut squares from your stash.
Notice how Amy altered the inner border (no cornerstones) and stopped there without adding the final border (learn more about Amy’s quilt here).
Another variation is to end with the inner border but keep the cornerstones. The version below is by Christine (found on A Quilting Life).
Jane made the pattern up as specified. Traditional fabrics give it an entirely different look.
Wendy’s version is just as wonderful while being uniquely hers.
This sweet version is from Carried Away Quilting.
Isn’t it fun how a simple pattern can take on so many personalities? It’s all in the fabric choices and, sometimes, a minor alteration or two.
Sherri’s pattern is for a 27″ x 27″ table topper.
Please Note: The “Mini Charm Square Table Topper” pattern is no longer available. However, the following pattern by the same designer is nearly identical, if not the same.
