Try a Different Way of Combining Fabrics for Striking Results!
This charming runner will be a lovely accent for your table. Give it any mood you want through fabric selection. Fun, bold colors are just as inviting as more sophisticated combinations.
The runner will be eye-catching in fabrics for any season. It’s easy to imagine it in Christmas colors, fun Halloween prints, and patriotic colors for summer.
This striking design features a center section that contrasts with the outside “border.” The runner almost seems like a runner within a runner.
Choose a focus fabric and select colors from it for the rest of the runner. Notice how prints run down the center framed by solids in a contrasting color combination around the outside. While you can use all prints, the design will be enhanced with quieter prints for the border area.
We played in Photoshop to see it in another color combination (shown below).
The completed runner, designed by Paulette and Tes from Tulip Square is 13″ x 48″ from point to point.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
