Create a Rainbow with Super Easy Piecing

Jelly Roll Strips Make This a Breeze to Sew Up!
Color zigzags across this wonderful quilt made up of crayon-colored blocks. Notice how each block goes from light to dark in one color.
White strips create contrast and give order to the quilt. The white in many of the colorful prints helps to unify the quilt as well.
Each block is strip pieced from 2 1/2″ jelly roll strips, then cut into 10″ squares. Make the number of blocks you need for the size quilt you want, taking the border into account.
Once the blocks are completed, play with laying them out. You’ll be able to create many overall designs other than the zigzags shown here.
The quilt pictured here, by Marion McClellan from My Quilt Diet, is a king size. Extra blocks were used for the shams. Learn more about how the shams were made here and here.
