Make Striking Ornaments from Folded Fabric
This is a Great Project for Scraps!
These beautiful fabric ornaments are great for the tree and for decorating wrapped gifts. They can also be included in greeting cards for special surprises.
Make them up in two coordinating prints or use one print for a solid-looking star. Metallic fabric gives them a bit of sparkle but other prints will be wonderful too.
The ornaments are easy to make. Start with squares of fabric, fold them and sew them together.
Helen Spencer from Hello Sewing demonstrates how the ornaments are made in the following video.

The companion templates found here are for ornaments of three different sizes, starting with 4.5″, 5 5/8″, or 6.75″ squares.
A second pattern, from Spotlight, is for ornaments starting with 3″ squares for smaller ornaments. Otherwise, the instructions are the same.
