Make a Variation of a Classic Block for Quilt Projects

| April 29, 2025 | Quilt Blocks
Feature Your Favorite Fabric Motifs In the Centers!
This cheerful block combines two Friendship Stars for a fun variation on a classic. The fussy-cut center adds interest and can be used to give the block any personality.
For example, several blocks with playful centers could be used in a charming I Spy quilt for a child. Or go more sophisitcated and feature a lovely bird, flower, or any motif you love.
The block will be charming in any color palette, too. Just be mindful of values to retain the block’s overall design of two distinctive layered stars.
A finished block, designed by Kimberly Einmo and provided by Janome, is 12″ square.
