Patchwork Acorn Potholders Are Perfect for Autumn
These Make Wonderful Gifts, Too!
Patchwork made from scraps, and a kitchen towel for backing, combine in charming potholders to use all through autumn. Get as creative as you want with color selections. Autumn colors are great, of course, but this will be fun in other colors as well.
This is an easy project so make several while you’re at it. A pair of potholders will make lovely housewarming and hostess gifts, as well as gifts for other occasions. You’ll be glad to already have some on hand.
The potholder uses Heat’n Bond Fusible Fleece and a kitchen towel for heat-proofing. You can also use cotton fabric for the backing and Insul-Bright batting to provide heat-proofing. We’d probably add Insul-Bright batting anyway just to be sure it will hold up to removing hot things from the oven.
The instructions from Amanda Niederhauser and Therm-o-web do not say how large the finished potholders are but the photos show that they are generously sized.
