Welcome Summer with a Charming Mini Quilt

Or Display It All Year for a Delightful Spot of Color!
Sun-kissed strawberries are sweet and luscious, and they remind us of summer. Bring the season into your home with this charming patchwork mini quilt.
While it’s nicely sized to be used as a potholder or trivet (add Insul-Bright batting), we’d hang it somewhere that needs a spot of color. It will be lovely in the kitchen or dining area, or mixed in with a collection of small quilts.
Pull out a pretty combination of scraps in red (or pink) and green. Choose a neutral background that provides good contrast. We love the two-color binding and how the black stripe makes the other colors pop.
Shayla and Kristy from Sassafras Lane Designs provide a tutorial for a 10 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ mini quilt.
Other mini fruit quilts are available to complement the strawberry. Hang them together in a grouping for a lovely accent for your home. The tutorials for pineapple, pear, apple, and orange mini quilts are at the following link.
