Rick rack frames the pieced center of this beautiful quilt made from vintage fabric. Appliqued flowers twine through the border. The combination is a stunning quilt you’ll be happy to use and display for many years to come.
This project is a wonderful use of all those scraps you have on hand. Or, dig into your stash and pull together a wide array of compatible fabrics. The more the merrier to give the quilt a scrappy look.
While the piecing looks complex, it’s easy to achieve. You can make the blocks with a template but the Fons and Porter 60 degree pyramid ruler will speed the construction process. You can purchase that here: Fons and Porter Pyramid Ruler.
The finished quilt, from designer Liz Porter, is 79″ x 102″.
