A Handy Tote for a Walker
Choose Fabrics for a Man or Woman!
This tote will attach easily to a walker frame, providing space for carrying odds and ends. The large pocket will hold a project, book, or magazine.
The small attached tulip pocket will hold glasses, a cell phone or a notepad, and a pen. The paper-pieced tulip is lovely for gray days and spring. Another block can be substituted if you wish.
In fact, the entire pattern can be easily adjusted, perhaps making the tulip pocket larger or the main pocket deeper. Keep in mind the needs of the user and feel free to customize the tote as needed.
Men will appreciate this handy tote, too. Consider substituting a star or other block for the tulip and choose more masculine fabrics. Plaids or fabric from an old favorite shirt would work nicely.
The finished tote, designed by Darlene Jewell-Walhood, is approximately 12 1/4″ x 16 1/2″.
