Consider Other Options if You Don’t Like Hand Embroidery!
Strips of beautiful fabric are accented with embroidery in this gorgeous pouch. It’s sized to fit a tablet but also is lovely for take-along projects and even as a clutch purse.
The embroidery, using a variegated thread, is such a pretty touch. But what if you don’t do hand embroidery? If your machine has embroidery stitches play on scraps to create a lovely design of your own.
This also provides the opportunity to showcase a pretty vintage linen on the flap, or consider a small applique motif.
Just because the embroidery on the pouch follows the curve of the flap doesn’t mean it has to. Experiment with placement until your version looks right.
The finished pouch, designed by Lauren from Molly and Mama, is approximately 11 1/2″ wide x 8″ tall when folded closed.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you! PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
