You’re Sure to Find Many Uses for it!

Rows of triangles line up to create a beautiful design on this eye-catching drawstring bag. The bag is roomy enough to hold a lot and can be used in many ways.

It’s great for projects, supplies, picnic lunches, kids’ toys, and much more. Plus, it will be great in your favorite color theme.

A template is provided for the triangles. Speed the cutting process by cutting strips of the width that is the exact height of the triangle. Then use the triangle template to sub-cut individual triangles from the strips. Switch the template so it’s pointing up, down, up, down, cutting as you go, and you’ll have them all cut out in next to no time. Starch will be useful for keeping the bias edges from stretching.

Clothesline rope in a coordinating color and grommets are used to create the drawstring. Just make sure the grommets are sized to allow the rope to move smoothly through them.

The completed bag, designed by Art Gallery Fabrics, is 14″ × 12“.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
