It’s Perfect for Showing Off Beautiful Fabric!
This sweet quilt is perfect for a baby or use it as a lap quilt. Choose a pretty combination of 5″ charm squares, whether from new charm packs or from leftovers in your stash.
It’s lovely in many color combinations so have fun selecting fabric for your version. A white background gives it a nice crisp look, but other colors will be lovely too.
The quilt was patterned after Amy Smart’s popular “Lattice Quilt”, using smaller blocks. It’s just as easy to make, even for beginning quilters. In fact, it’s a good skill builder for those who have not yet tried setting blocks on the diagonal.
An earlier version of the quilt.
A variation created by Kathy at Kayak Quilting. Notice how she extended the background and appliqued the child’s name on the bottom.
Once complete, the quilt from Amy at Diary of a Quilter is 38″ x 47″.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
