Brighten Your Tree with Pretty Red Birds
They’re Beautiful Ornaments in Other Colors, Too!
These pretty red birds will be a lovely addition to your holiday tree. Or, use them to decorate gifts and baked goods. Their graceful shape and vivid color makes them sure to be noticed.
Of course, the birds will be wonderful in other colors as well. Make a whole flock in multiple colors, or choose one color combination for them all. We can also see them in pastels for spring decor and baby shower gifts.
The ornaments are made from felted wool, although regular felt will work. Quilting cotton will work too, although you may want to pink the outside edges or go over them with a satin stitch.
Hand embroidery adds lovely detailing. Or, decorate yours with machine embroidery. There are many options for embellishment so have fun playing with this pattern.
The finished ornaments are 4″ x 5 1/2″ without the hangers.
