Watermelon Slices Are Festive and Fun!
Celebrate summer with sweet watermelon coasters and mug rugs. They will be fun and colorful accents throughout your home all season long.
Choose between the square watermelon slice mug rug and the triangular coaster. Or make some of both.
You can use any red fabric and edge it with white and green for your watermelon slices. The seeded red used by the designer is extra charming, but it is not necessary for fun results.
The coasters designed by Ina from Crafty for Home are the following sizes:
- Square watermelon slice mug rug – around 6.5″ x 6.5″
- Triangular watermelon coaster – about 6.5″ on all three edges
We found a watermelon print fat quarter here that would work nicely for this project. A few watermelon rind prints are also available here. As with all fabrics, they’re available as long as supplies last.
