Make Some for Yourself and Others to Give!
These charming round nesting fabric baskets are great for storing this and that in any room of the house. They also make lovely gifts when filled with things the recipients will enjoy.
Instructions are provided for three sizes made with and without handles. Make the set or perhaps just the size that works best for you.
This is a great project for using up some of those goodies in your stash. Choose a pretty combination for the outside, lining and binding. Structure is provided by a fusible foam stabilizer, such as Pellon Flex Foam 1-Sided Fusible Stabilizer or Soft and Stable.
The finished baskets, designed by Melissa Mortenson from Polka Dot Chair, are:
- Small – 2 1/2″ tall x 6″ wide
- Medium – 3 1/2″ tall x 7 1/2″ wide
- Large – 4 1/2″ tall x 9″ wide
A free tutorial is available for the Small basket without handles. You’ll need to sign up for Melissa’s mailing list to get the cutting template. Click here to learn more.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
