Change the Colors and Fabric Styles to Give This Unusual Pattern a Whole New Look!

Dig into your scraps and stash for this lovely quilt. You’ll have fun pulling out fabrics that you may never have thought to put together. Choose coordinating prints that keep your eye moving across the surface and add simple applique leaves for even more interest.

Modern floral fabrics are a good place to start with fabric selection, although we can easily imagine this made up in bolder geometric prints and even fun prints for a baby quilt. This version was meant as a Christmas quilt but we’d drape it over a table all year around.

Christmas Romance Quilt

Construction of this quilt is really quite simple. Four-patch blocks and large triangles will stitch together quickly. The sweet leaves can be appliqued by machine or by hand.

The finished quilt, from the pattern by Ladylike Designs, is 48″ x 48″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
