Use a Honeybun or Shop Your Stash!

Turn thin strips of fabric into a colorful throw quilt to brighten your home. The quilt was designed for a honeybun of 1 1/2″ strips, but you can cut your own from yardage (or cut down 2 1/2″ jelly roll strips).

Choose a wide variety of prints to give the quilt a scrappy look. Go bright and bold, soft and sweet, or choose a collection of neutrals for a more sophisticated look. You can also use a more limited color palette for beautiful results.

Start by creating strip sets that are cut into squares, then made into half-square triangles. Leftovers are used in the partially pieced border. The quilt is easy enough for quilters of most skill levels.

Deanna from Wedding Dress Blue provides instructions for a quilt that measures approximately 52″ x 58″. You can easily adjust the size by altering the number of blocks.
