Choose a Pretty Jelly Roll and Backing to Get Started!

Jelly roll strips and quilt-as-you-go construction make this a simple project to finish up. It’s easy to adjust the size, as well. Simply make as many of the 10″ blocks as you need, from baby quilt to king size.

We love the rich warm colors accented with blue. However, any pleasing color combination will be wonderful in this quilt. You can even make it scrappy by using leftover 2 1/2″ strips in your stash.

Plus, the quilt is fully reversible. While you could use one backing fabric for the whole thing, you also can use several that go together nicely. Since this is a quilt-as-you-go project, with each block completed separately then combined, the back will be comprised of 10″ squares with the effect of sashing between them.

The quilt shown here, designed by Fiona Law and from Patchwork & Quilting, is about 52 1/2″ x 63″.

Please note that batting is referred to as wadding throughout the instructions.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
