It Will Also be Lovely Coordinated Around a Color Theme!

A charm pack of beautiful fabrics mixed with white creates a lovely scrappy-look runner. Display it on a table, dresser or even hang it as a mini quilt.

The coordinated fabrics from one fabric line work beautifully together. Or, dig into your stash and create your own combination.

Scrappy 9 Patch Irish Chain Tablerunner Tutorial

The runner will be lovely in any predominant color against white or another background color. Or do as the designer did and mix colors for a more scrappy look.

Nine-patch blocks are configured to create an Irish Chain. Pieced borders add interest while tying the quilt together.

The finished runner, designed by Connie Kresin Campbell from Freemotion by the River, is 15″ x 27″. Add more columns for a longer runner. Continue the layout with 2 or 4 more columns to retain the symmetry.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
