They’re Also Great for Showcasing Special Fabric Motifs!

This beautiful set of bowl cozies was made from two complementary fabrics, one for the front and another for the back. Reverse the placement for the middle bowl for a lovely set.

Three sizes mean you’ll have just the size you want for microwaving your most commonly used bowls. The cozies will prevent singed fingers and also protect against chilly foods like ice cream.

We love how Kathy from Tamarack Shack showcased pretty motifs in the following set. This is a great way to show off a special fabric and opens up a world of possibilities.

Start with 8″, 10″ and 12″ squares to make three bowls that nest when not in use. Be sure to avoid fabric with metallic accents as they’ll spark in the microwave.

Also be sure to use all cotton everything so nothing melts when heated (fabric, batting and thread).

The cozies are very simple to make. You’ll have a set done before you know it.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
