Scraps of all sizes will find a place in this classic quilt. Go through your stash and pull out a combination of your favorite colors. Once completed, you’ll have a quilt to treasure for years to come.

The Bear Paw block lends itself to scraps, as you see in this beautiful example, although fat quarters and yardage will work too. Coordinate the colors around a season, such as Christmas, autumn or spring pastels. Another option is to choose colors to match your decor or that you just plain love. Or, mix it up and use up whatever is in your scrap bag stash.

Be sure to save some scraps for the charming sawtooth border. It adds the perfect finishing touch.

The pattern, by Gina Thackara, is for a 90″ x 102″ queen sized quilt. You can change the size by adjusting the number of blocks.
