Sometimes we come across a tutorial that is so wonderful that we just want to soak up every detail. That’s the case with this one for making these charming trivets.

The instructions are clear, and every detail is illustrated. Plus, PDF pattern downloads are included for trivets in four sizes:

You can easily create more sizes by printing the PDFs at reduced or enlarged sizes.

We haven’t even gotten to why this project caught our eye in the first place. These trivets are so charming! We love the soft scrappy look, but they would be fabulous made up in any colorway that you prefer.

The tutorial from Kelly at Charming Chatter also includes instructions for square hot pads decorated with lace on the back and muffins stamped onto fabric for the front.

Be sure to use Insul-Bright batting for heatproofing your trivets and hot pads.
