It Will be Lovely in Other Colors, Too!

Leftover strips in a variety of fabrics combine beautifully for this autumn themed pillow. It will be a beautiful accent for your fall decor.

It’s a super easy project to make and one that will be lovely in any pleasing color combination. Choose a solid or low-contrast print to tie the scraps together.

 A Halloween(ish) Pillow Tutorial

While an exact pattern is not provided, enough clues are given to make your own. Start with 2 1/2″ strips and cut them into squares. Or, do as the designer did and make some a bit shorter.

Create three columns with 2 1/2″ strips of the coordinating fabric in between. Make the columns as long as you need to fit your pillow form.

A hidden zipper is installed on the back (instructions included) so the cover can be easily removed for washing.

The finished pillow, designed by Tessa Marie from The Sewing Chick, is 16″ x 26″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
