This colorful quilt features playful prints for a lighthearted throw made for cuddling. The fun colors will brighten any room every spring and summer, or all through the year.
Notice how one playful print in two colorways is featured, while tone-on-tone prints flesh out the design. By showcasing prints in other styles, you can give the quilt many moods and personalities.
While the design looks like blocks set on point, it’s actually constructed from blocks placed side by side. Also note how the sashing seems to extend through the outer border. Fortunately for us, this creative design is simpler to make than it may seem.
The completed quilt, designed by Barb Groves and Mary Jacobson of Me and My Sister Designs for American Patchwork & Quilting, is 59-7⁄8″ square.
