Make a Memory Pillow Out of a Shirt
May 13, 2018 | Pillows, Shams and Pillowcases
| This Works Nicely with a Shirt of Any Size!
Hold onto your memories with a comforting pillow made from a shirt. This is a simple project that will be treasured for years. It makes a lovely gift for the loved one’s family and goes quickly enough that you can make several in a short period of time.
Start with a shirt in good condition. The collar and buttons are important design elements, while a chest pocket will add more interest.
Laura from Sew Very Easy shows you how to proceed. A bit of sewing and stuffing and it’s done. The finished pillow can be any size as you’ll make a pillow insert to fit.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!

This is just what I needed! I have a disabled friend who wanted me to make a pillowcase out of his old hunting shirts. I was puzzling over the collar. Thank you so very very much!! This is just perfect!
