The Block is Lovely in Any Color!

This beautiful block was inspired by pink poinsettias and other Christmas traditions, and is named “Winter Flower.” We’d love to use it in a quilt to enjoy any time of the year.

It’s easy to imagine it in a spring or summer quilt, either in multiples or combined with other blocks. One block could also be enlarged by adding borders to create a wall or table quilt. Or, use it on the front of a bag or another project.

The block is simple to make. Stitch-and-flip corners are used to create the petals. The rest of the block is constructed with traditional piecing.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
